Maxime Eiselin holds the position Expert Green Economy at IUCN NL and can be described as a multidisciplinary nature conservationist. At IUCN NL, Maxime considers issues relating to climate and natural capital, mostly situated across Africa. In his work, Maxime creates impact on greening business performance, sustainable development, human well-being and natural resource management. An example of a recent research project concerns the Atewa forest ecosystem in Ghana, where Maxime has assessed the valuing of the forest’s ecosystem services and their role in ecosystem protection. Maxime’s academic background is in the Earth Sciences, with two master’s degrees in both Environment and Resource Management and Applied Environmental Geosciences from the VU University in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
